COPING WITH LOSS
This campaign speaks to the small, ordinary disaster of losing one’s phone, and the heart wrenching loss it can feel like.
We report with a heavy heart that Jing’s Nokia Sapphire has been lost. Just 5 weeks old on December 29th, 2007, the phone fell out of her purse while at a party. It served her well, if briefly, and had been storing all the photos from her recent trip to Hainan, including some that were not supposed to be shared. She suspects that she also has missed innumerable calls and SMS, and possibly one from her long-time crush. Jing may never be the same again.

We are sorry to note the loss of Lui Wei’s Nokia Sapphire. It was 3 months old. On February 7th, 2008, it was dropped at KTV and could not be retrieved despite his best efforts. The phone contained his most treasured SMS from an ex-girlfriend, as well as the numbers of quite a few promising potential replacements. He is now unable to reach any of his loved ones in this time of need, so please get in touch with him as soon as possible. The phone will be greatly missed.

We regretfully announce the loss of Xiao Li’s Nokia Sapphire on January 11, 2008. It had only been in her possession for 10 weeks when it was misplaced while she was rushing home after curfew, following her band’s first big gig. It was cherished, particularly because it held the only recordings of their best concerts, choice cuts from the band’s demo, and irreplaceable contact info from friends and potential labels. Xiao Li’s life as she knows it may indeed be over.
